How can Obesity be Treated?
Allergan offers two weight-loss systems to treat Obesity:
Laparoscopic Gastric Banding
This procedure (gastric banding) involves laparoscopic surgery. It is reversible, adjustable and minimally invasive.
The procedure is suitable for patients who suffer from obesity. Generally, the patient’s health and/or quality of life are affected by their weight.
Intragastric Balloon
This procedure is non surgical. It involves a balloon filled with saline that sits in the stomach. The device is left in the patient’s stomach for a temporary period. It assists overweight patients to lose weight whilst changing their lifestyle habits.
