Allergan's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Payott named best CEO in America in the Health Care – Pharmaceuticals/Specialty category. Allergan also ranked first in the Pharmaceutical/Specialty category for "America's Most Shareholder Friendly Companies".

Allergan is named on Forbes.com's list of "America's Best Managed Companies", topping the "Drugs & Biotechnology" category. A corresponding article on the site titled, "America's Best-Managed Companies, Allergan: Looking Pretty", profiles the company and notes how CEO David Pyott has transformed the company and that net sales have doubled in four years.

In listing of the top 50 health care companies, Allergan is ranked number 34 by health care revenue, number 22 by research and development expenditures, number 34 by consolidated revenue, number 48 by net income, number 47 for return on revenue, number 33 by total assets, number 34 by shareholders' equity, number 35 by number of employees and number 22 by market capitalization.
